A day late but the Mississippi Public Broadcasting poll is still good news for Tupelo.

Special thanks to @PineBeltSports.

Tupelo entered the poll last week at No. 24 after defeating Lafayette County, 36-21, in Week 1. They defeated Center Hill, 27-3, last week.

Seven of the top 10 teams in the state are 6A schools. Interesting enough, THS travels to No. 1 South Panola October 18th and hosts No. 3 Olive Branch November 8th.

Tupelo (2-0) will now travel to Shannon (1-0) this Friday to battle the in-county Red Raiders. Shannon was off last week and defeated Aberdeen, 21-14, in Week 1. The Red Raiders are coached by former Tupelo wide recievers assistant coach Darryl Carter.
